Starting, operating, and growing a small business.

Includes essential management skills, how to prepare a business plan, accounting, financial needs, staffing, marketing strategies, and legal issues.

Establishes a work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts.

A learning plan is developed by the college and the employer.

This may be a paid or unpaid experience.

This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary.

The work environment is arranged by the student.

Prerequisite: BUSI 1301 and an approved work station.

Must meet internship requirements.
