Application of professional nursing concepts and exemplars within the professional nursing roles.

Utilizes concepts of clinical judgment, communication, ethical-legal, evidenced-based practice, patient-centered care, professionalism, safety,teamwork and collaboration.

Introduces the concepts of quality improvement, health information technology, and health care organizations.

Incorporates concepts into role development of the professional nurse.

This course lends itself to a concept-based approach.

Prerequisites: RNSG 1126, 1533, 2362 and BIOL 2420.

Semester Hours: 1 (1 lec) Note: BIOL 2420 may be taken concurrently for Transition Students Prereqs for Transition Students are RNSG 1324, 1118, 1128, 1161 and BIOL 2402.
