ARTS 2316 01 - Painting I

Studio art course that furthers the study of the principles, materials, and techniques of painting.

Exploration of ideas using painting media and techniques with emphasis on color and composition.

Includes practice in illusionism (using media to make images appear real) and creative development.

Prerequisites (for art majors only): ARTS 1312 and 1317 or consent of the instructor.

Semester Hours 3 (6 lec/studio plus 3 hours minimum out of class).
