Paramedicine

A health-related work based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills and concepts.

This coure allows/requires both hosital and pre-hospital experiences under the supervision of a qualified preceptor.

Prerequisites: Current Texas EMT Certification.

Must contact EMS/Paramedicine program.

Must have completed EMSP 1161, EMSP 1438, EMSP 1455, EMSP 1456, EMSP 2237, EMSP 2306, EMSP 2434.

Corequisites: EMSP 2137, EMSP 2430, EMSP 2444, EMSP 2164 and EMSP 2305.

Semester Hours 1 (5 clinical hours/week).
