Paramedicine

Practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student.

Provides pre-hospital based learning experiences with the supervision of qualified preceptors.

Students must complete 96 hours of pre-hospital experience with approved EMS providers.

Prerequisites: Current Texas EMT certification.

Must contact EMS/Paramedicine program director for advising.

EMSP 1161, EMSP 1438, EMSP 1455, EMSP 1456, EMSP 2237, EMSP 2306, and EMSP 2434.

Corequisites: EMSP 2137, EMSP 2430, EMSP 2444, EMSP 2162, EMSP 2305.

Semester Hours 1 (6 clinical hrs/wk).
