Surgical Technology

Introduction to surgical pathology and its relationship to surgical procedures.

Emphasis on surgical procedures related to the cardiothoracic, peripheral vascular, plastic/reconstructive, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, and neurological surgical specialties incorporating instruments, equipment, and supplies required for safe patient care.

Prerequisites: Students must complete SRGT 1441 and all prior SRGT courses with a minimum grade of C or better.

Concurrent enrollment in SRGT 2660 Semester hours 4 (3 lec/2 lab).
