Paramedicine

Knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of patients with medical emergencies, including medical overview, neurology, gastroenterology, immunology, pulmonology, urology, hematology, endocrinology, toxicology, and other related topics.

Prerequisites: Current Texas EMT Certification.

Students must meet with EMS/Paramedicine program director for advising.

Successful completion of EMSP 1161, EMSP 1438, EMSP 1455, EMSP 1456, and EMSP 2237.

Corequisite: EMSP 2306.

Semester Hours 4 (3 lec/2 lab).
